Al Fanar was founded in 2011 as the only restaurant in the UAE catering to authentic Emirati cuisine in a themed, nostalgic ambiance of 1960’s Dubai. Al Fanar – the Emirati term for “kerosene lamp” – used to light the homes of Dubai in the old times. Al Fanar Restaurant was founded to feed the curiosity of visitors, serving as a showcase for Emirati’s exotic culture and exquisite taste. The themed rustic interior was inspired from facets of Dubai in 1960’s and offers diners a unique experience recreated from age-old traditions. Every corner of the restaurant has a story to tell. The multifaceted facades speak of history-a bygone tale of how the house was built thru generations. The humble, yet rich traditions of the east are manifested in the distinct and noble architecture.
The brand has grown to ten prime locations across UAE, UK, and KSA from it’s start in London, 2019 to Riyadh, KSA in 2020.

A comprehensive training and support package will be provided, starting with training in a UAE corporate restaurant before transferring to the franchisee’s market with a team of experienced operators ensuring proper team training and flawless execution. Al Fanar Restaurant & Cafe is dedicated to providing the optimum support to ensure our guests receive the highest quality of food and service. The main support centre is based in the corporate office in Dubai, UAE. However, in-country training and operational support will be provided on opening and throughout the franchise.
