Chatime, a global bubble tea beverage brand founded in 2005 in Taiwan, has appointed Carlos Antonius to the newly created role of global CEO. Antonius has served as the CEO of Chatime Australia since 2015, helping it grow to 200 locations in the country. He will now oversee the brand’s 1,500 locations while helping it meet its goal of having 2,500 locations by 2027, Antonius said in a company press release.
“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to lead Chatime into the next phase of growth, and I look forward to executing our growth strategy and collaborating with the board, our leadership team, and our partners to realize our brand’s full potential.” he said.
Antonius’s previous roles included business development director of Nando’s, a fast casual restaurant chicken brand based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Gelatissimo, founded in 2002, in Sydney, Australia.
