Duck Donuts® Officially Lands in Thailand with First Shop in Bangkok

MECHANICSBURG, PA– Duck Donuts has officially landed in Thailand. The shop is in Siam Discovery, one of the city’s premier shopping destinations, promising a convenient and enjoyable experience for locals and tourists alike. Duck Donuts CEO Betsy Hamm, Founder Russ DiGilio and franchise partners, The Great Restaurant Group Co. LTD, commemorated the milestone opening of its Bangkok location on Oct. 2.

“Bringing Duck Donuts to Bangkok is a momentous occasion for us,” says Hamm. “We’re excited to introduce our made-to-order donuts to the vibrant city of Bangkok and offer a delightful, customizable experience to the local community. We believe in the power of sweet moments, and we can’t wait to create memorable experiences for our guests in Thailand.”

The Great Restaurant Group Co. LTD CEO, Joseph Kim, has a strong background in hospitality management. In 2020, he launched K-strEAT, Thailand’s first Korean Food Hall comprised of 11 brands from Korea with over 10,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

“Bringing Duck Donuts to Bangkok is a dream realized. We’re not just opening a store, we’re creating a haven for donut lovers – a place where flavor meets customization,” said Kim. “Our mission is to offer an experience that transcends the ordinary, where every bite is a celebration. With our wide array of flavors, we’re looking forward to embarking on this journey in our city.”

In addition to donuts, the Bangkok location also serves coffee, espresso, donut sundaes, breakfast sandwiches, milkshakes, frozen beverages, select retail items and more. Guests will experience the same made-to-order donut process and availability of coatings, toppings and drizzles, including traditional favorites such as chocolate icing with sprinkles and more adventurous creations such as maple icing with bacon. At a later date, the shop will expand its menu to include local flavors and items such as Thai tea, matcha, pink milk, mango and salted-egg.

The store features a vibrant and inviting family-friendly atmosphere, complete with indoor seating. The shop offers a viewing area where children and adults alike can watch their donuts being made and photo opportunities throughout with the brand’s iconic and lovable duck mascot, Ollie.
