FiiZ Drinks making Canadian debut with 100-store deal

FiiZDrinks, a Utah-based specialty soda shop, has announced its expansion into Canada through a 100-store development agreement over the next decade with Founder Brands.

The partnership, led by Founder Brands’ Matthew Corrin, Adam Corrin, Joe McCullagh and Paul Hughes, will oversee the opening of company-owned and franchised units across Canada. The first FiiZ store opened April 14 at the Dufferin Mall in Toronto. Founder Brands will also lead national franchise recruitment efforts.

“We are thrilled to partner with Matthew Corrin and the rest of the team at Founder Brands to bring FiiZ to the Canadian market,” Scott Ball, president of FiiZ Drinks, said in a company press release. “This agreement represents an important milestone in our global expansion strategy. The Canadian market is vibrant and diverse, and we are confident that Canadians will embrace our unique offerings and innovative approach to beverages.”

Adam Corrin, managing partner at Founder Brands, expressed enthusiasm for introducing a new beverage category to Canadian consumers.

“FiiZ isn’t just about drinks — it’s about fun, customization, and an entirely new way to experience beverages,” Corrin said in the release. “We can’t wait to share it with our Canadian guests. This is just the beginning, and we’re thrilled to be leading the charge in redefining the way Canadians enjoy their drinks!”

FiiZ, known for its customizable sodas and specialty beverages, emphasizes high-quality ingredients and an engaging customer experience. The brand operates over 70 locations across the U.S.

Matthew Corrin founded Freshii in 2005, and it has nearly 300 locations. Foodtastic Inc., a Montreal-based franchisor, purchased it in February 2023.
