German Doner Kebab will open 12 restaurants this year in North America, including three in New York and one in Texas by the end of Q1. The expansion will also grow GDK’s footprint in Canada, where it has restaurants in Toronto, Ottawa and Surrey.
“The North American market is a significant opportunity for GDK. In just a few short years we have opened more than 120 locations in the UK, and we are excited to replicate that growth here in the US and Canada, opening 500 locations throughout the next decade,” Nigel Belton, managing director for North America, said in a company press release.
GDK made its American debut in 2021 at theAmerican Dream Mall in New Jersey.
Based in Glasgow, Scotland, GDK has over 140 restaurants in Europe and the Middle East.
