Greek coffee chain targets expansion to key European markets

Greek coffee chain Coffee Berry will expand further into Europe, with the business targeting new locations in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France in the coming months.

Coffee Berry, which is celebrating 10 years since its establishment in the Athens suburb of Glyfada, has since expanded to operate more than 230 locations around the world, including in Cyprus, Germany, Egypt, Morocco, and Hungary.

Hungary was added to the company’s network in the closing weeks of 2025, when it opened its first location at Budapest Airport.

Group Head of Brand & Market Operations at Coffee Berry, Peggy Patera, says growing demand for specialty coffee in established coffee markets is helping foster Coffee Berry’s expansion.

“In the coming period, consumers of three of Europe’s leading markets will have the opportunity to enjoy the flavours of Coffee Berry,” says Patera.

“It is certainly a very important moment for us, especially in the year that we are completing the first decade since our creation. We want to become an active part in the daily lives of different people and introduce ourselves to consumers with our own, authentic experience.

“We continue to implement our development plan, which aims to strengthen our presence in selected markets abroad, with high consumer dynamics, where the interest in modern, quality and specialty coffee is on the rise.”
