Papa Johns has opened its 6,000th restaurant, according to a press release.
Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the unit is owned and operated by Papa Johns franchisee Yasir Hussain, who became a franchise partner in 2019. Hussain plans additional expansion in the market as well as in the Cleveland area.

In 2024, the average tenure among Papa Johns franchisee was approximately 15 years, and franchisees owned an average of seven restaurant locations each. Papa Johns has expanded its global footprint by more than 1,000 restaurants since 2017.

Papa Johns opened 122 restaurants in the fourth quarter 2024, with 60 in North America and 62 international units.
