Dubai-born and acclaimed burger brand, Pickl, is poised to achieve a significant milestone with its forthcoming debut in Doha later this year. Leading Yolk Brands, the UAE-rooted hospitality group behind Pickl, Steve Flawith expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Qatar has an extremely competitive F&B scene with a populace that values and appreciates high-quality food. Pickl has proven itself as one of the UAE’s most popular fast food brands and we’ll bring the same passion and quality to Doha.”
Golondrina Hospitality, a Qatari-based enterprise, is spearheading Pickl’s expansion in Qatar as its franchise partner. Aylin Seyidova, representative of Golondrina Hospitality, shared her delight, stating, “We are sincerely delighted to ink this deal, ushering in Pickl’s arrival to Qatar.” She added: “As we open the first Pickl in Doha later this year, we see it as an opportunity to enrich the local dining scene with a globally recognised burger brand.”
Seyidova further highlighted the advantage of their insight into the Qatari market, stating, “With our astute grasp of market dynamics and Pickl’s exceptional product portfolio, we are confident about emulating the brand’s triumphs in the UAE and Bahrain right here in Qatar.”
Since its inception in the UAE in 2019, Pickl has undergone impressive growth, operating across 15 locations within the UAE and recently expanding internationally to Bahrain. The brand’s menu features preservative-free, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free options, including beef, fried chicken, and plant-based burgers. These offerings have garnered numerous accolades, including the esteemed titles of Best Burger at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the awards for Best Fried Chicken and Restaurant of the Year at the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards in 2022.
Following the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Qatar’s culinary landscape has experienced remarkable growth, drawing various global brands to its burgeoning food scene.
