Udon, a chain of Asian restaurants in Spain, is opening its second U.S.-based location Monday at the Aventura Mall in Aventura, Florida. It made its American debut in 2022 at Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood and will open in Dadeland Mall in 2025.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to Udon’s flavor-packed, nutritious, responsibly sourced Asian cuisine at our Wynwood restaurant, and we look forward to building on that enthusiasm in Aventura,” Jordi Vidal, CEO and co-founder of Udon, said in a company press release. “With this expansion, we hope to share our love of Asian cuisine that emphasizes flavor and health with even more South Florida locals and visitors.”
Inspired by 400-year-old traditional Japanese noodle bar recipes, Culinary Director Alberto Gomez creates Udon’s original recipes using fresh, often organic and locally sourced ingredients.
Founded by Jordi Pascual and Jordi Vidal in 2004, Udon Asian Food has 74 restaurants in Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and future openings in Mexico and Chile.
