Studio Pilates International is to open the first of its initial nine studios in the UK and Ireland in early June and has appointed an executive UK team to support the growth.
The launch studio will open in Exeter, in south west England with upcoming studios scheduled for strategic locations around Central London.
In September 2022 the plan was to open six studios across the country, the first opening early 2023. Now the start date is the second quarter, and there are an extra three sites in the pipeline.
A newly-appointed team will work in collaboration with the global executive team to provide training and support for new franchisees.
Studio Pilates UK team brings franchise experience
UK franchise development executive Alison Day has more than 30 years of franchising experience.
“Reformer Pilates is growing in popularity globally and Studio Pilates incredible growth over the past 12-18 months proves we are primed to supply to the demand here in the UK,” she said.
Also on the executive team with Day is director of franchising, John L Scott, who spent almost 15 years with the Specsavers group.
Working on franchise development, Ken Rostron brings experience in Prontaprint, Alphagraphics and Fastrack Parcels.
Business operations and course facilitator Sam Summerfield joins the team, which also includes six in-country professionals in real estate, insurance, legal, finance, accounts and construction.
Studio Pilates International co-founder and CEO Jade Winter said the brand is unique.
“We incorporate state-of-the-art audio visual technology, scientific sequencing and world class instructors to provide a premium workout experience that’s achievable for all clients.
“For this reason, our studios are seeing record numbers of clients each week, which has created a consistent demand for us to open more studios in new markets,” he said.
Further international and domestic growth
The Aussie-based global franchise will soon have 130 studios open, or primed to open, in five countries.
A further five studios will open in New Zealand, starting with a site in Dunedin to open this month.
Four additional openings across New York, Denver, Colorado and Minneapolis add to the international growth.
Studio Pilates will open another 16 sites throughout Australia.
