This marks the restaurant group’s debut in Southeast Asia
Tam Jai International Co. Limited has announced its debut in Malaysia with the opening of its first TamJai Mixian restaurant at Sunway Pyramid, Selangor on 29 July.
TamJai Mixian is the streamlined international brand launched by TamJai International to bring its customisable Yunnan-style rice noodles (mixian) to global audiences. The brand offers a simplified, modernised version of the signature TamJai experience.
The launch was made in partnership with Hextar Retail Berhad, a subsidiary of Malaysian conglomerate Hextar Group of Companies.
The grand opening ceremony of the new restaurant was officiated by Mr Daren Lau, Chairman, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of TJI; Dato’ Eddie Ong, Group CEO of Hextar Group; and Hong Kong celebrities Grace Chan and Kevin Cheng.
The restaurant is located at Sunway Pyramid and occupies approximately 136 square metres, and can accommodate up to 57 guests.
Following Malaysia, the brand also plans to open in the Philippines.
TamJai International operates 240 restaurants across markets, including Mainland China, Singapore, Japan, and Australia.
