Teriyaki Madness expands to El Salvador amid strong Q1 growth

Teriyaki Madness, a Denver-based fast-casual chain known for its Asian-inspired bowls, opened its first international location last week in El Salvador.

The expansion into Central America comes on the heels of a strong first quarter for the brand, which saw the opening of 10 domestic locations and the signing of 13 franchise agreements, according to a company press release.

The franchise also reported a 21% increase in systemwide gross sales year-over-year for the first quarter. Same-store sales rose 14.23% compared to the same period last year and 5.45% over Q4 2024.

In the U.S., Teriyaki Madness entered Wyoming and Maryland and welcomed nine franchisees. Forty percent of the new store openings in the first quarter came from existing multi-unit franchisees.

The company also introduced an executive franchise package aimed at experienced operators, allowing them to open an unlimited number of locations for a single franchise fee under certain conditions.

The brand has over 165 locations open across three countries.
